Fantastic Five Day Horse Riding Holiday

Looking for a short break away from the usual routine? Then why not escape to the unspoilt Costa de la Luz on our full board weekend break. The weekend offers superb horse riding on fantastic beaches and through a beautiful national park. Each day is unique and includes steady canters and memorable gallops. Beach riding day is unforgettable, a dream come true! Our horse riding weekend break provides superb off road horse riding for experienced riders.

Superb Horse Riding Holiday Location

The base for the weekend is the seaside town of Barbate that provides a fantastic setting for a riding holiday. The town has a fantastic beach and promenade and is ideal for relaxing after riding. Barbate has plenty of ice-cream parlours, bars and restaurants, a great town centre with shopping and a lovely town square. During your weekend you will be able to enjoy superb horse riding and experience the adventure of living in a typical Spanish town.

Luxurious Accommodation

We use the luxury three star Adiafa Hotel for our holidays. The hotel is excellent and is very well appointed. Located only 50 metres from the sea front the hotel is family run and is very friendly and welcoming. All the bedrooms are spacious twin bedded rooms with on-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Guests sharing a twin room will also have a large balcony and sea view. The hotel has internet connection by wi-fi or cable and some English language TV channels.

Friendly Group Holiday

Our holidays are ideal for both single people and for group bookings. Our groups are kept small so that our guests can create a great friendly atmosphere. All our guests are horse orientated and you will have made new friends by the end of the holiday. The rides are led by ourselves, Steve and Caroline, and the maximum group size is kept to nine. Our aim is to provide a memorable value for money horse riding holiday that is hassle free. All your needs will be well taken care of by ourselves so that you can enjoy a stress free holiday.

Non Riders

Non riders are welcome and the area has plenty to do. Non riders can enjoy a multitude of other sports, such as mountain biking, canoeing, sea fishing, scuba diving, wind surfing and golf. The local public transport is good and car hire is also available locally. Information can be provided on local places of interest and there is also a tourist information office in the town.

Solo Travellers

We do not charge a compulsory single room supplement to solo travellers. Subject to availability solo travellers will be allocated a twin room to themselves and will not have to share. This twin room will have a partial sea view without a balcony. Solo travellers may pay an optional supplement to upgrade to a twin room with balcony and sea view. On payment of this supplement solo travellers will be guaranteed a room to themselves.

Superb Riding Itinerary

Wednesday. Collection from Malaga airport and transfer to Barbate. Dinner in the evening when the weekend break is discussed.

Thursday. Forest ride, with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today's ride leads through the beautiful pine forest to the 17th century Mecca tower overlooking cape Trafalgar. This introductory ride allows you to get to know your horse, with the faster paces being introduced as your confidence grows.

Friday. Beach ride, with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today we head to the scene of the famous sea battle where Lord Nelson lost his life at Cape Trafalgar. We follow the coast to El Palmar spending most of the ride on the beach enjoying canters and gallops.

Saturday. Forest ride, with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today's route takes us to the cliffs overlooking Barbate. The ride has superb views of Barbate, the surrounding mountains and on a clear day North Africa. The ride follows roller coasters of sand and allows plenty of opportunity to canter and gallop

Sunday. Transfer to Malaga airport for your return flight.

Flight Information

Flights to Malaga Airport.

Flights are available from most UK airports. Transfers from Malaga airport are included for our short breaks with collection no later than 14:30 on Wednesdays and return to Malaga arriving no earlier than 10:30 on Sundays.

Flights to Jerez and Gibraltar Airport.

Flights are available by Ryan Air, EasyJet, British Airways and Monarch flying from Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester. Transfers from Jerez and Gibraltar airports are not included. However we can organise a tailor made holiday for you using these airports. If this is of interest to you please contact us for a quote.

Non riders are charged riding rate with a 40% discount.

The Hotel Adiafa has three options, a single, double or triple room.

Prices are per person per weekend break based on two people sharing a twin bedded room and do not include flights.

For solo travellers there is no compulsory single room supplement, a single room will be allocated subject to availability.

For three guests sharing a three bedded room a triple room discount per person will be given.

The sterling price will apply if payment is made from a UK account by bank transfer or card payment.

The euro price will apply if payment is made from a bank account outside of the UK.

There is no surcharge if payment is made by credit or debit card.
